The Portuguese Green Card Bureau is a non-profitable Association, constituted by a public deed on October 9, 1986 - that was published in the Government Journal (DR Series lll of 21.11.86 page 13039). The Bureau was constituted with an indefinite duration with the main objective of performing the duties of the National Insurance Bureau under the terms of the Uniform Agreement between Bureau and Multilateral Guarantee Agreement.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- Sign International Bilateral or Multilateral Agreements with other Bureau.
- Perform the duties of Handling Bureau representing the legitimate interests of its member companies and foreign Bureaux.
- Assure the legitimate rights of the victims of accidents occurred in Portugal, given that the responsability belongs to insureds of Insurance Companies that are members of foreign Bureau.
- Represent or defend the common and legitimate interests of its members.
- Represent the interests of the Portuguese Insurance Market at the Council of Bureaux.
